Laundry Supervisor

Job Description

Complete full inventory checks for uniforms and linens and conduct monthly counts of laundry supplies. Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, and safety concerns to management. Train laundry staff on operational procedures, equipment use, and safety standards. Verify the timely and accurate completion of departmental laundry requests. Operate and monitor all laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and dry-cleaning machines. Inspect linen and terry items for damage and manage quality control standards. Assist with recruitment, training, evaluation, counseling, and motivation of laundry staff. Enforce company policies regarding safety, uniform standards, and proprietary information protection. Communicate clearly with team members; maintain documentation accurately and completely. Foster a positive team environment and support collaboration to achieve operational goals. Recommend and implement process improvements for productivity, efficiency, safety, and cost savings. Visually inspect tools and machinery to identify faults and ensure proper function. Stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, stoop, and move objects under 25 pounds during shifts. Navigate through confined, elevated, or uneven areas, including stairs and ramps. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors, adhering to quality and safety expectations.
