Installation & Configuration : Install Linux OS (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian) Configure networking, disk partitions, and security settings User & Permission Management : Create/manage user accounts and groups Set file and directory permissions (chmod, chown, ACLs) Service Management : Start/stop services (systemd or init.d) Configure web servers (Apache, Nginx), database (MySQL, PostgreSQL), etc. Package Management : Use yum, apt, zypper or other tools to install/update software Monitoring & Logs : Monitor server performance using top, htop, iotop, netstat Review logs: /var/log/, journalctl Backup & Recovery : Automate backups (rsync, cron, tar) Use tools like Bacula, Timeshift, or snapshots (LVM/ZFS) Security Hardening : Implement SSH key authentication, disable root login * Firewall Administration Device Management : Manage firewalls like Sophos, FortiGate, Rule Configuration : Define inbound/outbound rules (port, protocol, source/destination IP) NAT and Port Forwarding setup VPN Management : Setup site-to-site or client VPNs (IPSec, OpenVPN, L2TP, SSL VPN) Logging & Alerts : Monitor logs for intrusion attempts Configure email alerts or SIEM integration High Availability & Failover : Configure HA setup for firewalls (active/passive mode) Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Supplemental Pay: Commission pay Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: Diploma (Preferred) Experience: total work: 3 years (Preferred)
