Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Jira Developer to design, implement, and maintain customized solutions within our Jira environment. You will play a key role in optimizing our agile project management processes by building automations, integrations, and custom plugins tailored to our organizations needs. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop custom Jira workflows , screens, and fields. Create custom plugins and scripts using Atlassian SDK, Forge, or ScriptRunner (Groovy). Build and maintain integrations between Jira and third-party/internal tools using Jira REST APIs . Implement Jira automation rules for task assignments, email triggers, and status transitions. Monitor Jira performance and conduct troubleshooting/debugging for custom configurations. Work closely with project managers , dev teams , and admins to understand workflow needs. Maintain detailed documentation for developed customizations and integrations. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in Jira development and customization (Cloud or Data Center). Proficiency in Java, Groovy, JavaScript , or TypeScript . Experience with ScriptRunner , Forge , or Connect frameworks. Familiarity with REST APIs , JSON , and webhooks. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Jira Software configuration. Experience with Atlassian tools ecosystem (Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) is a plus. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
