Javascript - Technical Specialist

Posted on: 8-Jun-2014 Location: Gurgaon Experience: 7 - 10 Yrs Job Overview We are currently looking for JavaScript professionals from Pune/Mumbai location who are willing to relocate to Gurgaon. This position is for an experienced agile technical lead to focus on delivery of new business functionality and enablement of less experienced colleagues in a development team of approximately 4-5 people. The role is a crucial part of the Web Delivery team and is critical to enable us to deliver high-quality systems to the business more quickly. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering business functionality to our FundsNetwork web applications as we introduce new financial products targeting the pre and post-retirement markets. The role demands an expert technical lead who has a great in-depth knowledge of the key tools and technologies that we are using, an attitude of innovation, automation, and doing the right thing. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and the Web Architect assigned to the project/development team; the development teams are approximately 8-10 people with 4-6 developers each. Key Responsibilities Working closely with the Web & Mobile product architect, in defining and implementing the next generation of RIA (Rich Internet Applications) using JavaScript frameworks. Raising the productivity and quality of development teams by promoting agile practices and sharing skills through mentoring and/or pairing. Necessary Skills At least 8 years of overall experience within IT 6 years Web application development, including very strong skills in JavaScript and REST services 2 years of experience working on Rich Internet Applications using popular JavaScript frameworks like JQuery, Backbone/Angular/Ember or other similar libraries 2 years of experience working on JavaScript libraries like Grunt, Mocha, Karma or other similar libraries Excellent hands-on experience of working with JavaScript Preferable Skills Frameworks like PhoneGap Experience working on NodeJS Experience working on Selenium Skills and Personal Characteristics Hands-on development experience and a can-do attitude Love for an agile approach to development Aptitude for learning new things and taking feedback positively Excellent team player & passionate about Web Application development Required Skills and Experience Industry: IT/Computers-Software Role: Technical Leader Key Skills: JavaScript, REST, JQuery, Backbone, Angular, Ember, Grunt, Mocha, Karma, JavaScript Libraries, PhoneGap, NodeJS, Selenium, Agile, Finance domain, Investment Banking Education: B.Sc/B.Com/M.Sc/MCA/B.E/B.Tech Email ID: jobs@augustainfotech.com I have formatted the in markdown format.
