About the job
As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining ourcutting-edge software solutions. You will be responsible for implementing high-performance andscalable Microservices using Spring Boot and other relevant technologies. The ideal candidate shouldhave a strong background in Java development, Microservices architecture, and a passion for deliveringhigh-quality software.

Responsibilities :

• Participate in software requirement gathering.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.• To write high-quality code to meet customer requirements.  

• Able to troubleshoot, identify root cause and implement effective solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.• Peer review of code changes made by the team.• Create and maintain technical documentation for the codebase, APIs, and developmentprocesses.• Collaborate with solution architects to design scalable and efficient solutions.• Ensure that software designs align with business requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements
Must Have:
• 5+ Years hands-on as a Java Developer with a focus on Spring MVC, Hiberante and SpringBoot Microservices.• Strong understanding of Java SOLID design principles.• Strong understanding of Java Low level and High level design patterns such as Builderpattern, Factory pattern, Visitor pattern etc.• Experience in developing Domain Driven Design patterns including Value Objects, Entities,and Domain Services.• Strong understanding of Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot best practices, includingexception/error handling best practices.• Experience in Java 8+ features, especially Lambda and Functional Programming• Experience in Asynchronous programming in Java with completablefuture.• Experience with database systems such as MySQL, Oracle.• Experience with Spring data JPA with bidirectional OneToMany, ManyToMany relationships.• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) isdesirable.• Experience in RESTful APIs and experience in building and consuming them.• Proficient in building and managing microservices using the DAPR runtime to ensure scalable,resilient, and secure applications.• Good knowledge and experience in using J2EE/Jakarta EE frameworks and technologies suchas Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB)/CDI, EJB Lites, Java Server Pages (JSP)/ Jakarta Faces,Servlets, Java Message Service (JMS), Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI), and JavaDatabase Connectivity (JDBC)• Experience with both relational (such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases(such as Cosmos DB. Dynamo DB)• Experience in Spring Security with JWT and OAuth2 etc.• Experience in writing effective Unit Test cases (Junit5 etc) with code coverage.• Experience in Spring Boot Documentation with OpenAPI 3 specification.• Working with different pipeline jobs like SonaQube, TwistLock, Integration tests etc..• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools.• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.• Ability to work in an agile development environment.

• Strong knowledge on creation of data models based on the provided requirements.
• Strong knowledge of dependency management tools such as Maven/Gradle.• Strong knowledge on Clean Architecture and Clean code practices• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with excellent understanding of systemdevelopment methodologies, techniques, and tools.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• One team approach and team collaboration.• Positive mindset to learn new technologies.

Good to Have:

• Insurance domain knowledge.
• Prior experience on working on micro services and APIs.• Good understanding of cloud native application development.• Understanding of any integration/middleware tools like MuleSoft, ESB Implementations andAPI Gateways• Knowledge on Document management and generation systems/applications.• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.• Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).• Knowledge of front-end technologies (Angular, React).• Security-conscious development practices.• Proficient with AWS native services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and AWS CLI or Azureservices such as Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, andAzure CLI• Knowledge of additional Azure or AWS services such as Azure App Service, Azure LogicApps, and Azure Event Grid or AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Step Function and AmazonEventBridge, which are beneficial for integrating and automating workflows.
