Job Description:Project Manager 1. Responsible for achieving the business development plan for the plant. 2. Responsible for on time, on budget and on quality delivery of- JSW project, with optimal use of JSW Precast Factory and manpower: a. Design & coordination b. Production c. Logistics d. Erection 3. Value Engineering: a. Ensuring cost optimisation for quality precast element production including i. optimal and standardised mould design ii. analysing production quality issues and resolving them through value engineering iii. optimal utilisation of logistical equipment including cranes, trailers, transient mixers etc. 4. Process orientation - process creation and implementation including: a. Understanding and implementing precast production related standard operating processes, and period evaluation of all SOPs for bridging gaps if any. b. Ensure use of Protrak planning software for planning, production, quality control, storage, logistics and erection of precast elements c. Full compliance of all Health Safety and Environment SOP of the client i.e. JSW and our own SOPs. d. Regular assessment of the team’s proficiency on all SOP’s e. Understanding of our ERP system and ensuring all work order, purchase order, material reconciliation etc is maintained as per SOP, to the satisfaction of the finance team. f. Ensure timely delivery of all Management reports (MIS) including but not limited to, DPR, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports etc. 5. Customer Orientation: a. Ensure complete alignment with the client (JSW) on all aspects including: i. Design coordination on all ongoing and future projects ii. alignment on all customer process including safety, billing and other applicable processes iii. alignment on project planning and execution as per client priority aligned with our plans b. Vendor management: i. Develop new vendors for all requirements in Vijayanagar including but not limited to cranes, trailers, material suppliers etc. ii. ensure vendor relationships are maintained ensuring uninterrupted service and supply of raw materials, even in constrained circumstances c. Team management: Development and retention Financial Perspective Review and sign-off on the budgets for the respective Projects Drive cost saving initiatives through process standardization, value engineering and effective project management practices across projects Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure timely availability of working capital and funds for project related activities Drive cost savings through negotiations with contractors/vendors Planning & Execution Review and sign-off final project design drawings submitted by the external design consultants Lead project execution Manage and execute overall project execution and delivery strategy Provide guidance for the preparation of project plans and schedules Create strong project monitoring and review mechanisms and ensure adherence to project schedules Monitor progress of projects on a periodic basis to ensure adherence to planned timelines Drive cost-optimization measures throughout projects Provide periodic status updates to Top Management to report on the progress of various projects Monitor project expenditure and approve all high value bills received from site Procurement Provide a detailed procurement plan for the agreed upon cost, quality and procurement strategy Coordination & support for Managing Purchase & Procurement Supervise negotiations with vendors on cost to obtain the most favorable terms for the organization Monitor usage and inventory of materials across sites to eliminate stock outs and reduce inventory carrying costs Ensure timely collection of damages and penalties as per contractual agreements to ensure minimal revenue losses Ensure consistency and standardization of Purchase related activities Quality Oversee effective implementation of robust quality assurance and HSE standards Ensure the production and installation meet the quality standards and SOPs Others Drive the implementation of ERP in the department. Objective: The GM – Finance will oversee and manage the organization’s financial operations, ensuring strong financial controls, statutory compliance, MIS reporting, and effective reconciliation across multiple project locations. Audit & Statutory Compliance Lead statutory, GST, and tax audits, ensuring timely and accurate compliance. Prepare draft financials for auditors and management review, implementing course corrections as necessary. Prepare and present quarterly financial statements, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Draft agreements for capital contributions to subsidiaries and implement IFC requirements to strengthen internal controls. 3. Taxation & Statutory Obligations Handle inspections and notices from Central and State Government authorities, ensuring timely submission of required documents. Conduct annual reconciliations of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and PT. Oversee the preparation of TDS returns, tax audits, and GST annual returns, coordinating with consultants to ensure timely filing. 4. Financial Reporting (MIS & Business Insights) Generate and present insightful management reports (quarterly and annual) for stakeholders. Assist in business modeling for current and future projects, ensuring financial feasibility and profitability. Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and investors to provide requisite financial documentation and insights. 5. Cashflow Management (support role) Manage accounts receivable and payable to maintain optimal cash flow. Collaborate with financial institutions for bank guarantees, construction finance, and other loan arrangements. 6. Team Leadership & Collaboration Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring collaboration and service orientation. Work closely with project teams across locations to streamline financial processes and address discrepancies.
