PVC Compounding & Processing Specialist We are seeking an experienced PVC Compounding & Granules Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of PVC formulation, compounding processes, and granule production. Expertise in PVC moulding (extrusion, injection moulding, calendaring, etc.) will be a strong advantage. Your role will involve developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting PVC compounds, ensuring high-quality granule production, and supporting manufacturing processes to meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Formulate & Optimize PVC Compounds – Develop recipes for rigid/flexible PVC using resins, plasticizers, stabilizers, fillers, and additives. Granule Production – Oversee the compounding and granulation process to ensure consistent quality, color, and performance. Process Improvement – Optimize mixing, extrusion, and pelletizing processes for efficiency and cost reduction. Quality Control – Conduct tests (tensile strength, heat stability, rheology) and ensure compliance with ASTM/ISO standards. Troubleshooting – Resolve issues like degradation, poor flow, brittleness, or surface defects in PVC products. Regulatory Compliance – Ensure formulations meet REACH, RoHS, FDA , and other safety standards. Collaborate with Production – Support moulding, extrusion, or other PVC processing methods if applicable. Supplier & Raw Material Management – Evaluate and select raw materials (resins, additives) for cost and performance. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science (or equivalent experience). 1+ years of hands-on experience in PVC compounding, granules production, or polymer formulation. Strong knowledge of: PVC resin types (S-PVC, E-PVC) and their applications. Additives (plasticizers, stabilizers, impact modifiers, lubricants). Processing techniques (twin-screw extrusion, Banbury mixers, pelletizing). Familiarity with PVC moulding processes (extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding) is a plus . Experience with lab testing equipment (rheometers, DSC, TGA, tensile testers). Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Preferred (Bonus Skills): Experience in PVC product manufacturing (pipes, profiles, sheets, cables, etc.). Knowledge of lead-free stabilizers (Ca-Zn, organotin) and sustainable PVC solutions.
