Location: Sector 132, Noida (Candidates residing in Noida will be given priority) Key Responsibilities Ensure safe and organized record-keeping of donor contracts, amendments, reports, payment receipts, and correspondence. Maintain documentation for the required statutory period or as per donor agreements, to facilitate future audits or reference. Act as a finance liaison with donor agencies, especially for clarifications on financial matters. Participate in donor meetings or calls (as needed) to discuss financial progress and issues. Support fundraising teams with financial data and impact summaries to be used in donor updates and future proposals. Prepare and submit donor-specific financial reports, both periodic (monthly/quarterly) and final reports, in prescribed formats including budget vs actuals, utilization certificates, and fund reconciliation statements. Track donor funds and ensure that they are spent according to the designated purposes and grant agreements. Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented. Handle day-to-day bookkeeping using Tally on a real-time basis. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions and entries. Maintain working knowledge and assist in the calculation and filing of TDS, GST, ESI, and PF. Prepare and process GST and TDS returns and reconciliation on a regular basis. Support and assist in audits, assessments, and other statutory filings. Regularly review financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Provide all necessary supporting information and documents for internal and external audits, assessments, and compliance reviews. Liaise with statutory auditors and external consultants to ensure timely and accurate audit completion. Ensure timely processing of payroll and employee reimbursements as per company policies. Maintain accurate records of employee-related expenses and reimbursements. Manage day-to-day dealings with banks, including processing payments and deposits. Ensure smooth and accurate bank transaction processing. Create, update, and maintain financial records, databases, and reports for internal and external use. Follow internal controls and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Candidate Profile Education: B.Com degree, CA/CWA Inter, or CA/CWA Dropouts. Finance Executive The International Forum for Environment, Sustainability & Technology (iFOREST), is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and finance, with expertise in handling day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and compliance-related tasks. This role will involve collaborating with external auditors, statutory authorities, and consultants while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. About iFOREST iFOREST is an independent not-for-profit research and innovation organisation that was established in 2019 to identify, promote and scale up solutions for pressing environment-development challenges in India and other developing countries in Asia and Africa. Location: Sector 132, Noida (Candidates residing in Noida will be given priority) Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Handle statutory compliance including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, and other applicable laws. Assist with donor reporting, fund utilization statements, and project-based accounting (specific to NGOs). Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits. Process payments and maintain documentation for grants, vendor bills, staff reimbursements, and other expenses. Maintain fixed asset register and oversee periodic physical verification. Support financial due diligence, MIS reporting, and donor audit processes. Liaise with banks and financial institutions for routine operational matters. Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance preferred). 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting, finance, or audit functions. Strong understanding of accounting principles and Indian financial regulations. Proficient in MS Excel, Tally, and/or other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books). Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred / Added Advantage: Experience working in the NGO/development sector and familiarity with donor-funded projects. Past experience in a CA firm with exposure to audit, taxation, and financial compliance. Candidates who are CA/CMA dropouts with relevant experience and strong practical knowledge. The successful candidate must demonstrate proven aptitude, substantial experience, and a track record of leading a multi-disciplinary team of 10+ professionals engaged in research, advisory and government collaboration on clean energy initiatives. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market trends, and policy frameworks. Additionally, experience in conducting research and authoring reports related to the clean energy sector is essential. This is a leadership position, requiring expertise in developing programmes/business development, managing teams, and executing projects. Furthermore, experience in engaging with government departments on policy and project implementation is a key requirement. Assam’s Clean Energy Programme is designed to support the implementation of state’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2025 aiming to increase the contribution of renewable energy in the state energy-mix to over 10 GW by 2030. This is to be achieved through comprehensive set of activities including resource identification, policy action and implementation support to the state nodal agency. It includes independent research, engagement with various stakeholders and providing program support to the energy department. Key Responsibilities Research and Writing Lead the research initiatives of the program in Assam. Assign research tasks and monitor their execution, providing guidance and timely interventions. Support the preparation of research/policy/project reports. Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and lead program outreach in Assam. Build and maintain networks with stakeholders across sectors, including government, industry, civil society organizations (CSOs), and media. Represent iFOREST as a senior leader in high-level meetings and events, presenting institutional perspectives and insights. Strengthen iFOREST’s profile as a thought leader in the states. Design and manage a comprehensive outreach strategy to effectively communicate research findings. Foster constructive policy-research partnerships with government, industry, and other stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience Master’s degree (minimum) in a relevant field such as engineering, management, economics, or public policy from a recognized institution. Minimum 12 years of extensive experience in research, strategy consulting, or advisory roles focused on clean energy, climate change, and environmental issues.
