Location: VR Revankar Hospital Job Type: Full-time Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in managing ICU patients, emergency cases, and critical care Role Overview: As an Intensivist at VR Revankar Hospital, you will play a crucial role in managing critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) . You will be responsible for providing advanced critical care, handling medical emergencies, and ensuring high standards of patient management. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:1. ICU Patient Management Supervise and manage critically ill patients , including those on mechanical ventilation, dialysis, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Perform and oversee critical care procedures such as intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, and ultrasound-guided interventions. Monitor and optimize patient conditions through continuous assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning . 2. Emergency & Essential Care Respond to code blue and rapid response team calls , ensuring immediate stabilization and advanced life support interventions. Provide emergency care in cardiac arrests, respiratory failures, sepsis, and polytrauma cases . Collaborate with the emergency department to ensure smooth ICU admissions and transfers. 3. Preventive & Quality Care Implement infection control measures and ensure adherence to ICU protocols and guidelines. Participate in clinical audits, morbidity & mortality meetings , and quality improvement initiatives. Educate and train ICU staff on advanced life support (ALS), basic life support (BLS), and sepsis management . 4. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with consultants, surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing teams for comprehensive patient care. Maintain clear documentation and update families on patient conditions and treatment plans . Assist in policy development for ICU best practices and evidence-based protocols . Skills & Qualifications: MD/DNB in Critical Care, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, or Pulmonology with relevant ICU experience. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred. Proficiency in critical care procedures and emergency management . Strong leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
