Job Description for MES Support Specialist The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the MES system to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and enhance production efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to system monitoring, issue resolution, and user support, ensuring seamless MES functionality in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of Electronic Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with the specific processes, standards, and regulations in electronic manufacturing, such as PCB assembly, SMT (Surface Mount Technology), and quality control. Key Responsibilities: 1. MES System Maintenance & Support Provide onsite Level 1 & Level 2 support for the MES system. Monitor system performance and resolve operational issues promptly. Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth MES operations. Escalate unresolved technical issues to the development or support team. 2. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Identify and analyze hardware/software issues, database errors, and integration failures. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Support data synchronization between MES, SAP and shopfloor devices. 3. User Training & Documentation Train shopfloor operators, engineers, and plant managers on MES functionalities Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science) or related fields. Experience: 1+ years of experience in MES maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support. Deep understanding of MES software functionalities and how they integrate with other enterprise systems like SAP would be added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with shopfloor and IT teams. Providing training to client staff and ensuring they are comfortable with the new systems and processes.
