Integration Engineer

Must-Have Skills:

IBM API Connect
IBM DataPower
Developer Portal
Kubernetes / OpenShift
Kong API Gateway
Lua scripting
Swagger (OAS)
GitHub

Good-to-Have Skills:

Open-source API Gateway tools
IBM App Connect and MQ
Knowledge of AWS/Azure Cloud
Drupal development (Nice to Have)
DevOps exposure

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement API gateway solutions using
Kong Gateway
.
Develop custom plugins in
Lua
to extend Kong functionalities.
Configure and manage
routing, authentication, rate limiting, logging, and monitoring
policies.
Integrate Kong with identity providers using
OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect
.
Define and document APIs using
Swagger/OAS
.
Translate messages between
JSON XML
and resolve translation issues.
Understand infrastructure design documents and build policies/scripts on DataPower.
Design and develop
RESTful APIs
with best security practices (OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT, etc.).
Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy APIs on
Kubernetes/OpenShift
platforms.
Collaborate with application and platform teams for secure and scalable API implementations.
Participate in technical design document preparation and SOA implementation strategy.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Minimum
3 years of hands-on experience
in each of the following:

IBM API Connect
Kong API Gateway
IBM DataPower
Software development lifecycle (Java/Spring or Node.js preferred)

Good understanding of
Banking or BFSI
domain preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills
Experience working in
Agile
development environments
