Summary

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you are required to work in complex development and migration of application projects to Azure cloud. You will work with business analysts, application developers, architects, and data stakeholders to understand the customer business cases and build Azure environment secured and scalable

Key Accountabilities

• Understanding the requirement and bring out highly scalable Azure solution design and deliver End-to-End Implementation working with Azure architects
• Building and Implementation of environment setup in Azure cloud for applications, data team and DevOps.
• Understanding in the use of dockers, containers, and Kubernetes in development processes.
• Good co-ordination with Architects, App Developers, Data Engineers and POTs team for resolving infrastructure related issues.
• Implementation of Azure cloud resources with security features enabled.
• Ownership of documentation, tracking and prioritising tasks and highlighting the foreseen blockers upfront
• Ensure the Azure cloud environment is implemented using best practices and as per architecture governance & compliance rules

Key skills and Technical Competencies

• Degree level education in Mathematics, Computing or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Azure Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Experience in designing solutions and implementation/migration of applications to Azure Cloud.
• Strong Expertise on ARM Templates and PowerShell Scripting.
• Experience in building and managing VMs, azure services (webapp, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure monitoring, AD, Data Bricks, Data Factory, Azure Data lake, Log analytics, OMS) using ARM Templates and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience in creating VNET, SUBNET, VMs, storage account, peering, backups and restore, encryption of VMs disks (OS and data disk), load balancers, Azure AD, VM Scale Sets
• Disk allocation to both windows and RHEL/Ubuntu VMs.
• Setting up NSG
• Knowledge on dockers, containers and AKS.
• Creation, Managing and troubleshooting WAF (Web Application Firewall)
• Implementation of HA and DR.
• Hands on experience in deploying infra resources via Terraform IaC tool.
• Experience in implementing & troubleshooting Azure Container Apps based hosting services.
• Managing and maintaining Azure Defender Score security posture to meet organization security standards.
• Should be very good in troubleshooting VMs and other Azure services connectivity and firewall issues.
• Knowledge in setting up reverse proxy, traffic manager and gateway servers.
• Hands-on experience in implementing Security controls for Azure Services.
• Experience in RHEL and Ubuntu Linux.
• Experience of working in an agile environment, within a self-organising team
