Job Description

HVAC Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver HVAC design scope within budget and project timelines.
Prepare
concept, schematic, and detailed HVAC system designs
.
Perform
load calculations
,
equipment sizing
, and system selections using
HAP
or equivalent tools.
Design and layout of
VRF/VRV systems
,
district cooling systems
,
basement/kitchen ventilation
, and
heat recovery ventilation systems
.
Develop and review
HVAC drawings
,
BOQs
,
specifications
, and
tender documentation
.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Electrical, Plumbing, Architecture, Structure, etc.).
Ensure compliance with international codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA) and local authority guidelines (DEWA, DM, etc.).
Lead and guide junior engineers and CAD/BIM teams on design tasks.
Use
Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360
, and other platforms for design coordination.
Support project management with design progress tracking and reporting.

Desired Candidate Profile:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years
of HVAC design experience,
including at least 2 years on Gulf region projects
.
Proficient in HVAC design tools such as
HAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360
.
Good understanding of
UAE and Gulf authority requirements
.
Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently or in a team.
Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
