About the Position: Deliver the functional design of small Signalling projects (in terms of geography, or number of objects or subsystems or interfaces involved...) in accordance with industry and company standards Key Accountabilities: Ensure the delivery of Functional signalling Design (schemes, specification documents, test reports…) compliant to project requirements, budget and schedule and to industry standards, company guidelines and processes. Ensure the delivery of functional design documentation including system requirements and architecture, interface control, scheme plans, control tables, block design, and analysis Ensure the gap identification between customer requirements and company products. Ensure the identification of development and procurement needs based on customer requirements and identified gaps. Ensure the review of Functional Signalling design requirements allocation and demonstrate the compliance of design documents by the traceability Ensure the effective implementation of the lessons-learnt database were the detected design errors, process and tool inefficiencies and the related corrective actions are duly recorded. Ensure the execution of the Verification activities on issued documents, according to the V&V Plan. Contribute to the configuration and HW/SW design of the Signalling system by control of the functional design and produce or control the version control sheet if applicable. Ensure the assignment of time, cost and quality objectives, as well as priorities, to the WPLs in alignment with the Engineering Management Plan (EMP) and the Design Plan. Ensure the project documents management (DCP “document control plan” definition and implementation) with the support of Shared Services by means of company tools Ensure the coordination of technical activities delivered by WPLs and other projects key roles (i.e. Project RAMS Manager, Project Quality Assurance Engineer, Construction Manager, Commissioning Manager and Supply Planner). Ensure the collection of all feedbacks from site activities and the related corrective actions, during the whole project life cycle until the final system acceptance. Ensure the definition of the key technical risks with the support of WPLs. Support the Project Manager for the development and definition of the risk matrix. Ensure the implementation of the project risk management strategy. Ensure that all information needed for the generation of the yearly budget of the assigned project (skill, timing and duration of the effort) are provided to the relevant Functional Mangers. Ensure the escalation process to all relevant units in case of staffing issues. Key Experience Preferred: Experience in Metro Signalling Systems .
