Job Description: We re looking for a mid- to senior-level Shopify Front-End Developer to join our fast-paced e-commerce team. In this role, you ll split your time between developing new front-end features and driving improvements in site speed, performance, and SEO . You ll work closely with design, content, and product teams to bring customer-facing experiences to life while ensuring the site remains optimized, scalable, and search-friendly. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a deep understanding of Shopify s front-end architecture, Liquid templating, performance best practices, and SEO strategy. Key Responsibilities: Development (50%) Build, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Collaborate with design and content teams to translate mockups and requirements into responsive, high-converting experiences. Develop custom sections, features, and micro-interactions that enhance user experience. Implement A/B testing and data-driven updates to improve UX and drive conversion. Performance & SEO Optimization (50%) Monitor and improve Shopify site speed and core web vitals across mobile and desktop. Audit and implement on-site SEO best practices , including schema markup, image optimization, meta structures, and link architecture. Evaluate third-party app impact on performance; make recommendations and implement code-based solutions where possible. Use tools like Lighthouse, GTmetrix, Google Search Console, and Semrush to measure and improve site health and ranking. Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure technical SEO needs align with broader strategy. Qualifications: Minimum of 3-5+ years of front-end development experience, ideally within e-commerce. Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in the Shopify ecosystem , including theme development and customizations. Strong knowledge of Liquid , HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (Vanilla and frameworks like Alpine.js or React). Deep understanding of performance optimization and technical SEO in a Shopify environment. Experience with Git , browser dev tools, and page speed tools (e.g., Lighthouse). Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Bonus: familiarity with headless commerce or Shopify Hydrogen.
