Head-Cost Estimation -Highways & Road Projects

As a Cost Estimation Manager for Highway/Road Projects, you will be responsible for leading and managing the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects related to highways and roads. Your expertise in civil infrastructure works, particularly in highways and roads, will be crucial in ensuring that accurate and competitive pricing strategies are implemented during both the bidding and execution phases. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the detailed preparation of cost estimates for various aspects of highway and road construction projects such as earthworks, pavements, drainage, bridges, and signage. - Analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to create estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor. - Reviewing and validating quantities provided by engineering and design teams. - Collaborating with project managers, engineers, procurement, and planners to gather necessary data and cost inputs. - Developing project budgets and forecasts in alignment with client requirements and internal standards. - Managing risk analysis, value engineering, and pricing strategies. - Benchmarking cost data and maintaining a comprehensive cost database for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor rates. - Participating in bid reviews, negotiations, and client presentations. - Monitoring project cost performance during execution and recommending cost control measures. - Ensuring that all cost estimation processes and reports adhere to company policies and industry standards. To qualify for this role, you should possess the following: - A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. - A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cost estimation for road/highway/infrastructure projects. - A strong understanding of highway construction methods, codes, materials, and pricing practices. - Proficiency in cost estimation software. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Knowledge of local market pricing, regulations, and various contract types such as FIDIC, EPC, Design-Build, etc. would be advantageous.,
