Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Understand from Marketing and R & D teams about the project deliverables and accordingly translate process design into process equipment and project plan. 2. Guide the R&D team about the changes desired in the process. 3. Select most appropriate technology, estimate project cost as well as time lines and seek concurrence from all stakeholders. 4. Provide support for project related legal and statutory approvals. 5. Provide strategic input to / Participate along with procurement team for technical and commercial negotiations with vendors for supply of equipment & engineering items for project and maintenance. 6. Execute project as per agreed deliverables such as time, cost and targeted output. 7. Participate in decisions around selection of site and seeking various statutory permissions to initiate and execute project. 8. Provide strategic input to senior team on trends in technology as well as key technical/process related future improvement scenarios on an ongoing basis for forming contours of future projects. 9. Guide the commissioning team to resolve the process problems faced. 10. Provide leadership to the team of process design and projects by developing talent and initiating smooth transition to a high performance team. 11. Accountable for brown and green field projects. 12. Provide support and key decision maker for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation. 13. Manage projects within schedule and budget. 14. Identify cost saving opportunities , debottlenecking and troubleshooting of existing plants. Qualification: BE/BTech - Chemical Engineering (Full Time). Experience Required: 17 to 23 Years. About the role: The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting strategic and commercial decision-making by delivering deep market insights, competitor analysis, financial analysis, and performance tracking. Key Responsibilities: Market & Industry Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research on specialty chemical products, technologies, applications, customer segments, pricing trends, and global supply-demand dynamics. Business Intelligence: Monitor competitors, industry trends, M&A activity, new capacity announcements, and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities. Develop and Maintain Trade Movement Reports: Prepare, update, and manage comprehensive trade movement reports for both new and existing key products. Strategic Support: Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Plant Operations teams to support strategic initiatives such as new product development, capacity expansions, or process improvements. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present actionable reports including executive summaries, technical briefs, detailed market overviews, white papers, financial analysis, and investment recommendations. Build and Manage Internal Knowledge Repositories: Create and maintain an organized in-house repository encompassing industry landscapes, product profiles, global plant capacities, manufacturing technologies, and key industry trends. Ensure that the repository is up-to-date, accessible, and valuable for cross-functional teams. Key Qualifications, Skills & Competencies: A Degree in Chemical Engineering. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with spreadsheets. Strong knowledge of chemical industry value chains and technical terminologies.
