Graphic Designer / DTP Operator

As a skilled Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing and laying out brochures, websites, and other media using desktop publishing software. Your role will involve image manipulation tasks such as editing, enhancing, cropping, resizing, color correction, and retouching. Additionally, you will be formatting text properties like font size, column width, and spacing to enhance readability and visual appeal. Your duties will also include integrating various elements like text, images, and graphics to create visually engaging designs. You will prepare files for print or digital publishing, ensuring proper formatting and resolution. Collaboration with designers, writers, and team members is essential to maintain design consistency and meet project deadlines. Quality control is a crucial aspect of your role, involving proofreading and reviewing materials for errors in formatting, typography, and content. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant DTP software is required. A good understanding of design principles including layout, typography, color theory, and design fundamentals is necessary. Skills such as creativity, visual communication, and a strong grasp of design principles are essential for this role. Mastery of industry-standard DTP software like Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a must. Technical skills for troubleshooting software issues, managing files, and preparing files for different output formats will be beneficial. Attention to detail is key, as you will need to identify and correct errors in formatting, typography, and content. Effective communication skills are also important for collaborating with team members and clearly conveying design ideas.
