Golang Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Golang Tester to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead the testing efforts for our Go-based applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust test strategies, automation, and team collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Lead the QA strategy and execution for Golang-based microservices and applications. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Go and related testing frameworks. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product managers to define test plans and acceptance criteria. Mentor and guide junior QA engineers and testers. Drive continuous improvement in testing practices, tools, and processes. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to testing best practices. Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with development teams to resolve issues. Ensure performance, scalability, and security testing is integrated into the QA lifecycle. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in Golang testing. Strong proficiency in Go and its testing libraries (e.g., testing, testify, gomock). Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter) and security testing practices. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with BDD/TDD methodologies. Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana). ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
