Godown Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Godown Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse/godown activities including receiving, storing, dispatching, inventory management, and ensuring overall operational efficiency and safety. The role also involves managing a team of labourers and coordinating with logistics and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:AreaDescriptionInventory ManagementMaintain accurate stock levels through regular physical verification and system entry. Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.Goods Inward/OutwardMonitor and record all incoming and outgoing shipments. Ensure timely unloading, checking, and storage of goods.Labour ManagementSupervise and allocate work to labourers. Maintain attendance and ensure productivity.CoordinationCoordinate with logistics, dispatch teams, sales team, and transporters for timely dispatches and receipts.Safety & CleanlinessEnsure the godown is clean, organized, and complies with safety protocols.ReportingMaintain daily reports on stock movement, damages, shortages, and manpower. Share reports with higher management.Damage & ReturnsHandle damaged goods, returns, and reconciliation efficiently.DocumentationEnsure proper documentation of all stock movement, gate passes, and receipts.ComplianceAdhere to internal SOPs related to handling, loading/unloading, and storage.Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–4 years of warehouse/godown experience
• Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory software preferred)
• Ability to lead a team and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and physical fitness
• Ability to work in shifts and handle pressure
