GM/AVP Business Development (Road & Multimodal Transportation)

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to drive our Business Development initiatives across India. This role is critical in expanding Ritcos footprint in Full Truckload (FTL), Multimodal Logistics, and Integrated Transport Solutions. The candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performing business development team, acquiring key clients, driving revenue growth, and delivering customer-centric logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets across verticals and regions.
• Identify and penetrate high-value customer segments, especially in manufacturing, infrastructure, FMCG, pharma, steel, and other core sectors.
• Drive acquisition of large strategic accounts by offering tailored logistics and multimodal transport solutions.
• Lead RFQs, tenders, and high-value negotiations with clients at senior levels (CXO/VP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, pricing, and supply chain for solution design and service delivery.
• Ensure smooth client onboarding, relationship nurturing, and long-term retention.
• Track sales metrics, customer satisfaction KPIs, and pipeline performance to report progress to the leadership.
• Ensure timely collections and payment follow-ups; manage disputes and claims resolution.
• Maintain strong market intelligence to identify trends, competitor moves, and emerging business opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in logistics, multimodal transportation, or integrated supply chain; at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, managing large accounts, and building high-performance teams.
• Strong understanding of FTL operations, vehicle procurement, multimodal logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.
