Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify and prospect potential clients through various channels (e.g., cold calling, referrals, networking, market research, online leads).
  • Conduct needs analysis with prospective clients to understand their insurance requirements and financial situation.
  • Present and explain various general insurance products (e.g., motor, health, home, travel, commercial, property, liability) and their benefits, terms, and conditions clearly and concisely.
  • Customize insurance programs and provide quotes to suit individual or business needs.
  • Negotiate policy terms and conditions with clients and, when necessary, with underwriters.
  • Close sales and achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and submit applications, process policy issuance, and maintain accurate client records.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Provide excellent pre- and post-sales support, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and policy-related questions promptly.
  • Assist clients with policy renewals, modifications, and endorsements.
  • Guide clients through the insurance claims process when necessary.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of clients' insurance needs, especially after life-changing events, and recommend appropriate adjustments to their policies.
  • Market Knowledge and Compliance:
  • Stay updated with the latest general insurance products, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance regulations, compliance standards (e.g., IRDAI in India), and ethical sales practices.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous education to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Reporting and Administration:
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client databases and sales pipelines, often using CRM software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., underwriting, claims, marketing) to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve client issues.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹146,948.33 - ₹718,764.96 per year
