Job Description

Reporting to: Centre Manager

Location: The counselor will report to respective center Managers at different centers.

Job Purpose: To provide day-to-day counseling to the beneficiaries while under treatment or follow-up so that they can complete the whole treatment process and provide mental support to enhance their quality of life.

Major Responsibilities & Areas of Work:

[A] Planning:

1. Carry out the psychological assessment of the beneficiaries so that appropriate interventions can be planned out.

2. Conduct individual sessions at the time of Admission & Discharge.

3. Evaluate continually throughout the stay to accurately assess the results of the specific

interventions and modify goals and methods as needed, by conducting Psychological Assessments (i.e., Admission/ Intermediates/ Discharge).

4. Plan & prepare generic coping & behavior modification tools that can be used as and when required, on a case-to-case basis. Minimum 2 sessions to be carried out for each family per month.

[B] Individual and Group Counselling:

1. Conduct Monthly/ Weekly/ Emergency based Centre-wise group sessions on different relevant topics.

2. Conduct one-to-one counseling on regular basis with all beneficiaries in respective centers.

3. Liaison with OM/ CM / CC and address any specific issues that may be faced at the centre.

4. Conduct Palliative / Bereavement counseling as required.

5. Conduct telephonic counseling of the families who are at the hospital for a longer duration.

[C] Discharge Assessment:

1. Conduct a discharge assessment of each child and make them understand how it is more important to take care of them at home after discharge.

2. Do an assessment and prepare a chart in the Impact report to get a proper glimpse of how counseling sessions played a role in it.

[D] Follow-up Children:

1. Conduct follow-up counseling of the child to understand how he is been taken care of in his hometown.

2. Are any takeaway activities given to the child if yes have they done that? and how it helped the child when he/ she was at home?

[E] Documentation:

1. Maintain daily work on google sheets and fill forms for each child accordingly.

2. Maintain observations, Intervention tools and plan for the next session with the child.

3. Maintain Assessment- Admission, Intermediate, and Discharge of each child and generate impact report and monthly report with help of it.

[F] Reporting &MIS:

1. Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Annual- Centre-wise Impact Reports on the session held and their outcomes. These Reports will be child specific as well as center-wise.

2. Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/ Annual MIS reports in specific formats.

[G] Additional Responsibility:

1. Interact with teachers and center Managers regarding children’s behavior and what improvement can be done.

2. Update important cases on AL- Counselling WhatsApp Group.

Note - The role will be required to travel to the Chembur Centre two times per week as part of their regular duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
