Fitter/Machinist/Turnner/ITI

As a Fitter/Machinist/Turner/Welder, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training to both Maintenance & Production personnel as needed. You will execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, offering technical assistance whenever required. Collaborating with other maintenance personnel, you will ensure that DFI equipment is maintained according to agreed schedules, procedures, and standards. Your role will involve carrying out work and inspections in compliance with Quality Assurance requirements, as well as relevant codes and industry standards. Additionally, you will support the Mechanical Supervisor by assisting with job timing, work scheduling, work instructions, and job plans. You will also provide recommendations to improve work practices, enhance quality, increase productivity, and reduce costs. Furthermore, you will be involved in the repair and maintenance of Mills machinery and related services, including mechanical transmissions, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and components. You will diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning mechanical systems, equipment, and components, ensuring routine maintenance, lubrication schedules, and safety checks on machinery. Collaboration with other electrical and mechanical team members to complete maintenance work will be part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to perform repairs using techniques such as MIG/MMA/TIG welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, fabrication skills, and manual machinist skills including lathe and vertical/horizontal milling, bench fitting, and assembly.
