Fitter

Key Responsibilities of a Fitter:

• Assembly and Installation:Fitters assemble parts and components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Fabrication:They may cut, shape, and prepare materials for assembly, including using hand and power tools and potentially welding.
• Maintenance and Repair:Fitters perform routine maintenance checks, troubleshoot issues, and repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Quality Control:They inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
• Following Instructions:Fitters read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and other technical documents to understand project requirements.
• Safety Compliance:They adhere to safety guidelines and protocols during all tasks.
• Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work is often a part of the role.
