Job Title : QC Documentation Assistant Department : Quality Assurance / Quality Control Job Summary : We are looking for a smart and detail-oriented individual to join our QA/QC team. The main responsibility will be to prepare test certificates for outgoing products based on lab results and standard formats. The person should be comfortable working on MS Word and Excel, and be able to understand test reports and fill in the data accurately. Basic coordination over email using MS Outlook will also be part of the role. Job Summary: The Quality Control (QC) Chemist will be responsible for conducting routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in accordance with applicable specifications and standards. This role requires working in rotational shifts to support 24x7 operations and ensure timely release of batches. Key Responsibilities: Perform chemical, physical, and performance testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using standard test methods (e.g., ASTM, ISO, BIS). Ensure compliance with internal specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of test results, observations, and deviations. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment such as viscometers, pH meters, spectrophotometers, etc. Collect and prepare samples for analysis as per SOPs. Investigate non-conforming results and participate in root cause analysis. Assist in validation, stability studies, and method development as required. Follow all EHS and 5S practices while working in the laboratory. Coordinate with production, R&D, and QA teams for timely sample processing and batch clearance. Participate in shift handovers and communicate critical issues clearly to incoming shift personnel. Support internal and external audits by maintaining traceable records and ensuring data integrity. Qualifications: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry (preferred). 1–3 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or resin/paint/adhesive/polymer-based QC lab. Freshers with strong fundamentals and willingness to work in shifts may be considered. Key Skills: Hands-on knowledge of wet chemistry techniques, titration, viscosity, solids content, pH, etc. Basic knowledge of spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques is an advantage. Strong documentation and data interpretation skills. Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards. Comfortable working in shifts and in a fast-paced manufacturing setup.
