Job Description

As the Financial Reporting Team Lead at LEDT-Edutech located in Chennai Manapakkam, your role will involve facilitating the preparation of annual budgets and ensuring strict adherence to budget guidelines for each business unit, department, or project. You will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting and cash flow management, guiding and facilitating the financial accounting process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, resolving accounting-related issues, and liaising with internal and external auditors. Your key responsibilities will include building internal controls and checks, monitoring cash flows, and conducting regular reviews to ensure timely closure of error-free quarterly and annual accounts. You will also be required to prepare and analyze Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet schedules to support decision-making and accurate reporting. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing monthly performance reports to management, conducting periodic financial ratio analysis, and implementing interventions for improvement as necessary. Your role will also involve managing working capital by monitoring collections, optimizing vendor credits, reviewing sales over-invoicing, and preparing monthly cash budgets to align with working capital requirements. As the Financial Reporting Team Lead, you will also play a crucial role in risk management, including identifying and managing execution risks, obtaining new country clearances, and mitigating financial exposures and risks such as forex and commodity risks. You will be responsible for hedging exposures in forex and commodities to minimize risks to the organization. Furthermore, you will be tasked with handling interactions with GST/Tax Authorities for tax assessments, negotiating contractual obligations with clients, and managing vendor relationships. You will also be expected to negotiate commercial terms with clients and vendors, as well as liaise with bankers for financing arrangements. An essential aspect of your role will be developing a high-performing Finance, Accounts & Administration team to support the growth and success of the business. Your leadership in nurturing and enhancing the skills of your team members will be critical to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 15-20 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with expertise in accounting standards, financial reporting, Hyperion Financial Reporting, GST compliance, treasury management, and risk management. A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required to excel in this role.
