Job Title: Field Executive – Waste Management & IEC Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Experience Level: Open to Freshers & Experienced Candidates Type: Full‑time Salary: ₹12000– 18000(commensurate with experience) Key Responsibilities Field Engagement with Garbage Vehicle Crews: Ride along daily with municipal waste collection vehicles to engage directly with the public—explaining the importance of waste segregation (dry vs. wet) and demonstrating proper methods. You will facilitate dialogue with residents during collection rounds. Public Communication & IEC Campaigns: Plan and implement IEC (Information, Education & Communication) initiatives—such as street plays, local workshops, and distribution of leaflets—to raise awareness on sustainable waste practices Community Outreach: Connect with residents, schools, markets, and offices to encourage household-level segregation of waste and promote behavioural change regarding waste management. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with municipal authorities, NGOs, and community leaders to organize events and awareness drives that reinforce proper waste disposal practices. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed daily logs of field activities, resident interactions, IEC events, public feedback, and progress metrics to share with supervisors and stakeholders. Desired Experience Prior experience in community outreach, environmental awareness campaigns, or field-based roles (NGOs or municipal bodies) is advantageous. Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills. Comfort with field work—walking through neighborhoods, engaging with diverse groups, and flexible scheduling.
