Job Description

Schneider Electric is currently undergoing a global infrastructure transformation program, led by the Global Technology Services team (GTS). As a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer within the GTS Core Network Solutions Delivery team, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, upgrading, and troubleshooting enterprise networking and security technologies. In this Engineering Level 4 role, you will drive the implementation and enhancement of existing and new technologies, ensuring the quality of solutions delivered to the business by collaborating closely with Solutions Architects, Global Network Operations, and the PMO. Strong communication skills are essential to interact effectively with line of business and IT customers, understand their requirements, and propose cost-effective solutions. Your key responsibilities will include delivering and maintaining the architecture, design, integration, configuration, and implementation of the network and security infrastructure environment, encompassing WAN, LAN, WLAN, DNS/DHCP, Firewalls, Proxy, VPN, and SD-WAN. As a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer, you will also be responsible for providing L4 incident troubleshooting on network and security-related issues, coordinating problem management, partnering with external network vendors, and contributing to high-level design for new infrastructure projects. Additionally, you will work with the Architecture team to conduct research on new emerging network products, market trends, and industry knowledge. This includes initiating Proof of Concepts (POCs), Pilots, and contributing to white papers and documentation on POC results, recommendations, and operational support. You will implement network frameworks, principles, best practices, and standards globally, creating near-term and long-term roadmaps and strategies aligned with business initiatives and changes. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and procedures, as well as conducting incident response analyses, will also be part of your responsibilities. **Qualifications:** **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Minimum of 10 years of experience in networking - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to work with limited supervision - Willingness to travel domestically up to 30% of the time - Proficiency in enterprise network technologies such as LAN, Wireless LAN, DNS, DHCP - CCNP certification - Experience with WAN/SDWAN technologies like Cisco SDWAN, MPLS, VRFs, BGP, OSPF - Familiarity with Datacenter networks, specifically Cisco Nexus - Expertise in Security technologies including Firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto), IPsec VPNs, Proxy (Zscaler), Cisco, Fortinet **Preferred Qualifications:** - Previous exposure to Cisco DNA center - CCIE Certification - Knowledge of SDN technologies like Cisco ACI, NSX-T, Cisco SDA - Experience with Multi-cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud - Proficiency in Automation and IaC tools like Ansible, Python, Terraform, Git - Familiarity with Virtualization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes **Schedule:** Full-time Req: 0092X5,
