Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Design and Engineering:

Develop detailed designs and drawings for storage tanks, pressure vessels, and interdisciplinary equipment.
Perform engineering calculations for stress, pressure, volume, and thermal expansion using applicable codes.
Select appropriate materials based on application, operating conditions, and client specifications.
Evaluate vendor proposals.
Post order review and approval of vendor deliverables.

2. Analysis and Simulation:

Conduct structural, thermal, analysis in FEA.
Knowledge in software like ANSYS, ABACUS, PV-Elite
Evaluate nozzle reinforcements, shell thickness, and support structures.
Understanding of Piping Layouts and Instrumentation.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all designs comply with international and local standards, including
ASME SEC III
& ASME Section VIII & API 650/620, and relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Prepare documentation and certifications for regulatory approvals.

4. Fabrication and Manufacturing Support:

Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Oversee welding procedures, material specifications, and quality control measures.
Address technical challenges during the manufacturing process.

5. Inspection support:

Develop inspection and testing plans (ITPs) for tanks and vessels, including hydrostatic and non-destructive testing (NDT).

6. Interface management:

Coordinate with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and budgets.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and presentations for stakeholders.
