The role of Software Developer MES, Java at HARMAN Automotive involves collaborating with global IT and Business teams within the Digital Automotive Manufacturing unit. In this role, you will focus on developing secure, scalable enterprise-level MES solutions that align with business needs and the company's digital strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting major incidents and daily operations from a third-level operations perspective. Your responsibilities will include learning about the manufacturing approach at HARMAN Automotive, developing sustainable and secure Java application software to meet business and customer requirements, collaborating with IT and manufacturing teams to design solutions aligned with the digital strategy, supporting and maintaining existing Java-based solutions, contributing innovative ideas to optimize software solutions, and acting as an interface between Business and Digital stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you should have over 3 years of experience in developing and managing enterprise-level software systems as part of a team, expertise in Java development, proficiency in using Eclipse, strong knowledge of database concepts, understanding of cryptography concepts, experience with Unix distributions, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex problems systematically. Having a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, knowledge of IT infrastructure and high availability concepts, experience in software development using SAP NetWeaver, understanding of manufacturing processes, familiarity with Industry 4.0 and factory automation topics, and experience with test automation practices would be considered as bonus points.
