Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our shipbuilding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on ships during construction, refit, or repair projects. Key Responsibilities: Install electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures on ships under construction or undergoing repair. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Lay out and route electrical cables and wiring in accordance with drawings and standards. Connect and test electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, communication, and navigation systems. Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical components and equipment. Repair or replace faulty wiring, fixtures, and devices as required. Follow safety procedures and marine regulations to ensure compliance and prevent hazards. Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other trades to complete tasks efficiently. Document work performed and report any issues to supervisors. Qualifications & Skills: ITI / Diploma in Electrical or equivalent trade qualification. 2+ years of experience as an electrician in a shipyard or marine environment preferred. Knowledge of marine electrical systems and safety practices.
