Electrical BIM Modeller/Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in model building and drawings of building services elements, specifically focusing on Electrical services such as lighting power, earthing, and lightning protection systems. Your responsibilities will also include creating 3D models of physical substations in Revit, preparing 2D drawings, and conducting basic electrical design calculations. You will be expected to follow QA/QC procedures with meticulous attention to quality and technical correctness. Additionally, smooth coordination with other Mechanical, Structural, and Architectural services is essential to ensure project success. Working within specified time limits to deliver projects on schedule is a key aspect of this role. To excel in this position, you should possess an ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and have practical experience in Electrical modeling for building services using Revit software. Previous involvement in substation projects or Oil & Gas projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with MicroStation and the ability to prepare layout drawings and schematic diagrams for electrical services will be beneficial. Exposure to British & GCC standards is a plus, and proficiency in written and verbal communication is essential. The role requires self-sufficiency in working without the need for mark-ups, and familiarity with platforms like BIM360 or Projectwise is preferred.
