Y. Patil Hospital, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing ICU operations, staff coordination, compliance, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations of the ICU, ensuring smooth workflow. Coordinate with ICU doctors, nurses, and support staff for effective patient care. Monitor patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes within the ICU. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH/JCI standards, and statutory norms. Manage ICU inventory, including medicines, consumables, and equipment. Handle patient grievance redressal and family counseling when required. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on ICU performance and occupancy. Liaison with other departments like billing, pharmacy, housekeeping, and biomedical for ICU-related requirements. Lead quality improvement initiatives in ICU care and patient safety. Manage ICU manpower planning, duty rosters, and performance evaluations. Key Requirements: MBA in Hospital Administration (MHA/MBA-HA) or relevant field. Minimum 5 years of experience in ICU administration or critical care operations in a reputed hospital. Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills. Familiarity with hospital accreditation standards (NABH/JCI). Ability to work in high-pressure and emergency situations. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Operative Duties: Prepare the OT before surgery by ensuring all instruments, surgical tools, linen, and equipment are sterilized and arranged. Check and maintain OT cleanliness and sterility. Assist in shifting patients to the OT and ensuring proper patient identification and documentation. Verify surgical schedule and patient consent forms. Intra-Operative Assistance: Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgery by handling instruments and supplies. Operate and monitor equipment such as anesthesia machines, cautery, suction, etc. Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after the procedure. Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during surgery. Post-Operative Duties: Assist in patient shifting from OT to recovery. Clean and sterilize instruments and OT equipment after each procedure. Dispose of biomedical waste as per hospital norms. Prepare OT for the next surgery. Equipment Management: Perform routine checks and maintenance of OT equipment. Report malfunctioning or defective instruments/equipment immediately. Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain inventory of OT instruments, materials, and consumables. Assist in maintaining OT registers, checklists, and sterilization logs. Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other staff for smooth OT functioning. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide required support. Compliance and Safety: Follow all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control protocols. Wear appropriate PPE and maintain professional conduct. Qualifications: Diploma or Certificate in Operation Theater Technology. Prior experience in a hospital OT setup preferred.
