DevOps Engineer (Contract role)

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining the AWS cloud infrastructure for Appian applications.
• Automating the provisioning and deprovisioning of infrastructure resources.
• Managing and optimizing infrastructure costs

CI/CD Pipeline:

• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying Appian applications.
• Automate the release management process.
• Ensuring smooth transitions between development, staging, and production environments.
• Hands-on on branching, merge etc for code version management and code repository management

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Troubleshooting applications, servers, and infrastructure issues.
• Providing 24/7 production support for Appian applications.
• Monitoring and optimizing system performance.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensuring that the Appian platform adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Implementing and maintaining security policies, such as passwords and key rotation.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborating with development, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless software delivery.
• Communicating technical information effectively to various stakeholders.

Innovation and Improvement:

• Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Stay up to date with the latest DevOps trends and technologies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Cloud Computing: Strong experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is often required.
• CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or other CI/CD tools.
• Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Configuration Management: Experience with tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Security: Understanding security best practices and compliance standards.
• Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills. Appian Platform: Experience with the Appian BPM platform.
