Development and Research Engineering Specialist: We are looking for a highly motivated Metallurgical Engineer to lead casting validation, technical reporting, failure analysis, and foundry assessment. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of foundry processes, hands-on problems solving skills, and a solid background in metallurgical laboratory operations. Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive casting validation to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met. Prepare detailed technical reports, including failure analysis and foundry assessment reports. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards. - Assess iron and steel foundry processes, provide expert guidance, and identify areas for improvement. - Demonstrate expertise in various foundry processes, including melting, pouring, solidification, sand system, core and mold processes, and heat treatment. - Utilize analytical skills and hands-on experience to troubleshoot casting issues and implement effective solutions. - Oversee metallurgical laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality management standards and safety regulations. - Manage laboratory equipment procurement, calibration, maintenance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering or related field with 20+ years of experience. Master's degree preferred. - ASNT NDT Level II in RT, UT, PT, MT. Desired Skills: - Proven experience in casting validation, failure analysis, and foundry assessment. - Strong understanding of foundry processes, metallurgy, industry standards, and quality management systems. - Proficiency in metallurgical laboratory techniques and equipment. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. - Certification as an internal auditor for ISO / IEC 17025:2017 standard and related experience in an accredited laboratory.
