Role description:
The 2D &/ 3D Design Engineer is responsible for working with the discipline engineers including mechanical, process, project engineers in the development of 2D & 3D drawings for water, wastewater treatment or energy projects in Proposals and Execution stage.
Must Have Requirements

Hands on experience working on 3D tools like Solidworks, Plant 3D for layout development, BOM extraction, spool drawings development on multiple projects

In depth experience drafting P&IDs & modelling 3D layouts for Water treatment plants or Oil and gas on multiple projects.

Ability to come up with good first draft equipment layout with basic equipment list, equipment dimensions and PFD incorporating good engineering practices in layout development

Ability to prepare first draft P&ID based on just BFD or PFD from process engineer and no detailed input markup and going through available database of P&IDs.

Ability to develop attribute blocks in AutoCAD P&ID/ Smart P&ID tools based on customer legend philosophy

Ability to learn and adapt to new design tools and technologies is required

Experienced in independently collaborating and working with direct customer or regional team members is required
Good to Have Requirements

Ability to work with additional CAD Smart tools like AVEVA P&ID, BIM, ACC, Smart P&ID,eBASE etc will be useful

Knowledge on International codes and standards with respect to design/piping- ASME, DIN, EN, IS, BS, AS etc. will be added advantage,

Experience in reviewing execution stage P&IDs, layouts for Complex Water treatment plants or Oil and gas projects from CAD designer perspective will be added advantage

Ability to develop GA drawings or layouts directly in 2D with all detailed sectional and elevation views will be useful.

Experience participating in global project design reviews with multiple stakeholders will be advantage

Knowledge of layout or GA drawings development for Veolia products will be added advantage

Ability to represent 2D pipe routing in layout with actual dimensions is good to have
Bachelor/Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Environmental engineering or equivalent technical discipline
Expert 2D AutoCAD / 3D Solidworks/ 3D Plant 3D tool knowledge is mandatory.
