The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of news production and the ability to create crisp, impactful video content for broadcast and digital platforms. Key Responsibilities: Edit raw news footage into engaging and informative news packages. Add captions, voiceovers, graphics, and transitions as per newsroom guidelines. Collaborate with reporters, producers, and cameramen for timely delivery. Ensure technical quality, audio clarity, and editorial accuracy. Archive footage and maintain a systematic backup of all edited content. Quickly edit and publish breaking news clips for digital platforms. Requirements: Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in a news environment. Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.). Strong sense of timing, pace, and visual storytelling. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of current events and newsroom workflows is a plus. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and during breaking news situations.
