Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Estimation & Proposal Engineer to join our team at ST Electricals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects. This includes analyzing project requirements, coordinating with internal teams, and presenting clear cost proposals. Key Responsibilities: Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare precise cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and engineering teams to gather necessary input. Assess labor, material, and subcontractor costs for ongoing and upcoming projects. Maintain and update a pricing database and cost libraries to ensure consistency and accuracy. Prepare professional cost proposals and submit them to clients or internal stakeholders. Identify cost risks and provide value-engineering suggestions where appropriate. Track industry price trends, competitor pricing, and market conditions. Desired profile of the candidate: • Education: BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory). • Experience: Minimum 2 year of relevant experience in cost estimation or project proposals in the electrical industry. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications. Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and industrial applications. Experience with cost estimation tools and MS Excel. • Additional Skills: Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Good communication and coordination abilities (even if no English is required, internal communication matters). Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight timelines.
