Job Description

As a Construction Site Safety Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures to protect all personnel on site. You'll play a crucial role in identifying hazards, providing essential safety training, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Develop & Implement Safety Programs: Create and maintain site-specific health and safety plans (HASPs) and emergency response plans. Conduct Inspections & Risk Assessments: Regularly inspect the site to identify potential hazards and assess risks, recommending effective control measures. Provide Safety Training: Deliver comprehensive safety training, including new hire orientations and toolbox talks, to all site personnel. Manage Incidents: Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Ensure Compliance: Guarantee adherence to all local, state, and national safety regulations (e.g., Factories Act, Construction Safety Rules) and company policies. Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate records of all safety incidents, inspections, training, and necessary permits. Promote Safety Culture: Foster a strong safety-first mindset among all workers and project teams.
