The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles, CAD software, and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and modify 2D/3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using software like SOLIDWORKS, DraftSight, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Creo . Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Static Analysis, Thermal Analysis & Fatigue Analysis is plus. Work on the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems . Perform engineering calculations , tolerance analysis, and material selection for optimal design, follow industry standards (ASME, ISO, GD&T, etc.) and best practices for mechanical design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and R&D to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and reports . Work on product improvements, cost reductions, and design optimizations as per company requirements. Assist in design reviews, customer requirements analysis, and project planning . Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, DraftSight, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Creo . Exposure to PLM is a plus such as 3DEXPERIENCE, Dassault Systems ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill Understanding of manufacturing processes like machining, casting, welding, and 3D printing. Knowledge of ISO 9001 , ASME , GD&T standards. Hands-on experience with PQA and PBA practices. Proficient in tools and methodologies like 5 Whys , Fishbone Diagram , FMEA , CAPA , Six Sigma , and 5S . Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
