you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backup and recovery solutions to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data. Your role involves working closely with IT teams, analyzing backup requirements, and implementing strategies to safeguard data against loss or corruption. Key Responsibilities : Backup Solution Design : Assess the organization's backup and recovery needs and design comprehensive solutions using Commvault and NetBackup technologies. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data protection requirements and compliance standards. Implementation and Configuration : Install, configure, and maintain Commvault and NetBackup environments. Implement backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies based on business needs. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution : Monitor backup and recovery processes, investigate and resolve issues promptly. Perform regular system audits to ensure data consistency and integrity. Capacity Planning : Conduct capacity planning to ensure that backup infrastructure meets current and future data protection requirements. Scale and optimize backup infrastructure based on data growth and business demands. Disaster Recovery Planning : Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure data availability in the event of system failures or disasters. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate backup and recovery into broader disaster recovery strategies. Documentation : Create and maintain documentation related to backup and recovery processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Develop user guides and provide training to end - users and IT staff. Security and Compliance : Implement and enforce security measures to protect backup data. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
