Job Description

The CNC Turning Centre In-Charge/Setter is responsible for overseeing the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC turning machines. This role involves managing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team of operators to achieve production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setup:
  • Lead the setup of CNC turning machines, including selecting and installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
  • Programming:
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs based on technical drawings and production requirements.
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Supervise the operation of CNC turning centres, ensuring efficient and accurate production processes.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures, performing inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure product compliance.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Train and mentor CNC operators, promoting best practices and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, making necessary adjustments to machinery and processes.
  • Maintenance Coordination:
  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance of machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate production records, including job logs and quality control documentation, for reporting purposes.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with other departments to align production schedules and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Looking a candidate who have 7-10 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience as a CNC setter, with proven expertise in CNC turning operations.
  • Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to team development and quality production.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods while operating machinery.
  • Manual dexterity for precise machine adjustments.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise.
  • Must adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift

Experience:

  • CNC: 5 years (Preferred)
