CNC setter cum operator

• Machine Operation:Operating VTL machines to perform turning, facing, boring, and other operations on workpieces according to specifications.
• Machine Setup:Setting up the VTL machine, including tooling, work holding, and part alignment, based on engineering drawings and job orders.
• Quality Control:Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Machine Maintenance:Performing routine maintenance on the VTL machine and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Safety Compliance:Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures in the workplace.
• Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate production records and logs.
• Collaboration:Working with other team members, including quality control and production staff, to meet production goals.
• Technical Skills:Understanding blueprints, using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.), and potentially having knowledge of G and M codes for CNC machines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of machining processes, metal properties, and appropriate cutting tools.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Machine Operation: Experience with setting up and operating VTL machines, including tooling and work holding.
• Quality Control: Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and performing quality checks.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve issues with the machine operation.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to safe working practices and adherence to safety protocols.
• Communication: Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.
• Experience: 5 years or more
