Job Title: Lathe Machine Turner – Turret Lathe Specialist Department: Machine Shop Industry: Pharma Machinery Manufacturing Location: Vatva , Ahmedabad Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 2–5 Years (Turret Lathe Operation) Job Summary: We are hiring an experienced Lathe Machine Turner with specialization in Turret Lathe operations for precision machining of components used in pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing. The candidate should have expertise in reading engineering drawings, maintaining tight tolerances, and producing high-quality stainless-steel components for pharma-grade machinery. Key Responsibilities: Operate and manage turret lathe machines for turning operations. Set up workpieces, tools, and machine settings according to job specifications. Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, tapping, and threading operations. Manufacture machine parts used in pharmaceutical machinery, primarily in SS304/SS316 and other pharma-compatible materials. Ensure components meet dimensional tolerances and surface finish as per GMP standards. Read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings and process sheets. Use measuring instruments (micrometer, vernier caliper, thread gauges, etc.) to inspect machined parts. Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of the workstation. Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve machining issues. Follow all safety protocols and quality procedures required in a regulated industry. Required Skills & Qualifications: ITI Turner / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Turret Lathe machine operation. Good understanding of pharma machinery components and stainless-steel machining. Ability to read technical drawings and work independently. Knowledge of tolerances, surface finish, and pharma machine part standards. Basic understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is preferred. Preferred Qualities: High attention to detail and quality. Willingness to work with stainless steel and precision jobs. Ability to meet production timelines without compromising on quality.
