Medical coding Radiology Chennai

Roles and Responsibilities: -

  • Responsible for accurately coding emergency medicine outpatient records and addressing denials, ensuring compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines.
  • Requires proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Plays a critical role in optimizing reimbursement for healthcare services through timely and accurate submission of coded information.

Desired Candidate Profile: -

  • Should be a Science Graduate.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Radiology.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Comfortable to work from office.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills (Should have capability to reply properly to client and stakeholders.
  • Successful completion of CPC or CCS certification must be active during joining and verified.
  • Able to work independently and willing to adapt and change as per business/ process requirements.

Medical coding EM IP/OP - Chennai

Roles and Responsibilities: -

  • Identifies and codes Inpatient records for the purpose of reimbursement, and compliance with
  • federal regulations according to diagnosis and procedure using 1CD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems.
  • Assigns the correct principal diagnosis, comorbidities, and complications (CCs), secondary diagnoses, POA (Present on Admission) indicators, HAC (Hospital-Acquired Conditions), principal procedure codes, and secondary procedure codes according to official coding guidelines, the Coding Clinic, and in accordance with all official Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set (UHDDS) definitions.
  • Perform coding (applying the correct ICD-10-CM and CPT codes) of patient accounts.
  • Collect and abstract all clinical and statistical information as required.
  • Reviewing all patient files for accuracy
  • Codes and abstracts all necessary information, describes each documented diagnosis and procedures according to established HIM guidelines and AHIMA code of ethics.
  • Assists in implementing solutions to reduce back-end billing errors.
  • Abstracts data elements to satisfy statistical requests by the hospital, health system, medical staff, and enters all coded/abstracted information into the hospital information system.
