Job Title: Technician

Job Purpose

To carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance work as per Maruti Suzuki standards, ensuring quality workmanship, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Service & Repair

• Perform routine servicing, general repairs, and maintenance tasks (engine, brakes, suspension, AC, etc.).
• Follow Maruti Suzuki’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every job.
• Ensure use of genuine parts and approved tools for all jobs.

2. Technical Diagnosis

• Diagnose vehicle complaints accurately using Maruti Suzuki diagnostic tools (e.g., scanner, multimeter).
• Report major issues or repeated complaints to the Technical Advisor.
• Test drive vehicles if required to confirm complaints or verify repair effectiveness.

3. Job Card Handling

• Understand job card instructions clearly before starting work.
• Mark completed jobs and inform the supervisor upon completion.
• Record time taken and parts used for each job in the system or job card.

4. Quality & Safety

• Perform repairs with a focus on First Time Right (FTR) and zero repeat jobs.
• Follow safety protocols in the workshop, including wearing PPE and safe tool handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the work area.

5. Team Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with the floor supervisor and service advisors.
• Update status of vehicles and report any delays or additional work needed.
• Attend daily tool-box talks and service team meetings.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Good technical knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Ability to read and follow job cards and service manuals.
• Familiarity with tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Attention to detail and disciplined work habits.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and updates.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in a workshop environment.
• Freshers with proper ITI training and positive attitude are encouraged to apply.
• Maruti Suzuki certified technicians will be given preference.

Performance Metrics

• First Time Right (FTR) repair rate.
• Number of vehicles serviced per day/month.
• Quality check pass rate.
• Repeat job percentage.
• Adherence to delivery timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Car Repair / Technician: 1 year (Preferred)
