We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to plan and supervise Construction of Roads, Hardscape, Civil & Structural Works at STP, UGT, ESS, Boundary Wall, Guard Room, etc. External Drainage & Sewerage Works. This position will organize and oversee all procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The candidate should be well-versed in all Highway construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget. Handling end to end projects encompassing planning, scope definition, finalization of and laying down of quality standards. Should have core competence in project Execution Should have thorough knowledge of IRFC Codes, MoRTH Specification and BIS Codes 1. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Project Management Perform a Key Role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed. Responsible for smooth execution of Highway projects, devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises. Project Planning & Execution, Site Management, and Coordination with client, site coordination, preparation of BOQ, billing and follow-up client for drawing approval, etc. To Analyze the different Items of Highway work i.e. having Flexible and Rigid Pavement, Road Furniture, Toll Plaza, High Mast Lighting, and accommodate the cross section in the land by finalizing radius of curve & other technical features including Value Engineering. Should have experience in how to prepare the master schedule/review based on critical paths and milestones & suggest the corrective action & should have hands on experience of preparation of budgets and be able to complete the project within the project time lines. Liaison with the client, Authority Engineer, etc. at various stages of the project for securing approvals, finalization of specifications, COS, develop reporting system processes and final handover to the client. The candidate must have good leadership quality to manage a team of multi-disciplinary professionals. Site Management Preparing Inspection and test plans, Method statements for the works to be executed on site. Prepare and review the weekly and monthly program and progress of different locations. Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards. Preparing detailed construction method statements, work preparation, equipment, planning & temporary works preparation for new projects, and maintaining coordination with contracting firms handling large, highly mechanized projects. Contract Management/ Techno-commercial Activities Capable of reviewing the cost estimates/cost budget, BOQs & rate analysis submitted by consultants /sub-contractors. Linkage of cost versus budget with cost control vis-vis time schedule Preparation of monthly client bills & effective follow-up for the same. Negotiating the rates and finalizing the sub-contractor Maintain relationship with external entities - contractors, government agencies, vendors, consultants, proper systems implementation sub contract system, information technology, quality, safety and environment Coordinating among consultants, contractors and clients as well as preparing tender documents/specifications & finalization of requirements, estimates & BOQ. Evaluating & executing contracting works as well as handling negotiation, award and review of contracts as per contract regimes. Monitoring and ensuring efficient inventory management. Quality Assurance/ Compliance Devising and implementing processes, in line with organizational standards and client specifications.
