Backend Developer

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at our company, you will have the opportunity to be part of a highly competent engineering team that impacts millions of lives. You will collaborate with the entire engineering team to solve problems and enhance the back-end architecture of our growing product. Your role will involve working on existing codebases as well as new projects. Our environment is engineering-driven and your contributions will have an immediate impact. We utilize a variety of tools and technologies including Golang, Java, Postgres, Aerospike, Redis, and Kafka extensively for our back-end development. As an SDE, your responsibilities will include developing highly-concurrent and distributed systems, optimizing performance, ensuring high-availability, designing and testing new features, supporting releases, and estimating development efforts. You will also help define coding standards and processes while being open to learning and adapting to different technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Golang with a focus on production-grade systems. Experience with highly concurrent, distributed architectures, strong knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms, and familiarity with building HTTP and GRPC based services are essential. You should be comfortable working in a nix environment, adept at problem-solving, and capable of effectively communicating with team members. Additionally, debugging skills, writing clear documentation, unit testing, and integration testing are crucial aspects of this role. Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Redis, REST, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB is required. Knowledge of code versioning tools like Git, deployment on Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Consul, Nats, and familiarity with frameworks like statsd, Open tracing, and Prometheus are considered advantageous.
