Azure Data Engineer

As an experienced Azure Data Engineer, you will be a valuable member of our data engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and platforms on Azure. Leveraging tools and services such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Python notebooks, Azure Functions, and Data Warehouses, you will play a crucial role in building scalable, reliable, and secure data workflows that drive analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Microsoft Fabric, integrating data from various sources into centralized data warehouses or lakehouses, and creating Python notebooks for data transformation and machine learning preparation. Additionally, you will develop Azure Function Apps for tasks like lightweight compute, API integration, and orchestration, collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data models, and ensure best practices in data governance, security, version control, and CI/CD for data pipelines. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Azure technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Python notebooks, Azure Functions, and Data Warehousing concepts is essential. Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and modeling are also required, along with a good understanding of modern data architectures such as medallion architecture, lakehouse, and data mesh principles.
